The SmoothStar is great for the Surfer. The SmoothStar feels like surfing.
It's so loose that you flow just like surfing. Surfers could use this to help their surfing get better and for training.
The SmoothStar turns just like surfing off your front foot as you use your knee when making a surfing turn. The SmoothStar teaches you the same way.
It makes you become smooth and flow. Just like surfing. It's great!!

SmoothStar riders....

  • Mark from Brisbane.
G'Day, I had to let you guys know what I think of your boards. I have not used a skateboard for 30 years. Over the Christmas break I was having a go at a whole lot of different sorts and thought that they had not improved much since I was a kid. That was until a young grommet gave me a go of his Smoothstar. I couldn't believe how good it was. For the first time in my life, finally someone had designed a skateboard that actually felt like surfing!
I immediately went and bought one and I have been riding every day since. Thanks, it is truly the greatest innovation in land surfing!
I am also considering getting a second board that is a little bit longer. The one I have is the 2nd longest I think about 41 inches I wouldn't mind trying the 44 inch. By the way all my old mates just stare in disbelief that a skate board can be so manouverable and go up hills without pushing. I am sure they will all buy one.

    Kind regards and congratulations.

.... I got the board today and im really pleased with it. It's so good for parctising your surfing and is really fun and a good workout. The road next to our beach house has a hill with it and i can go so good down it!
    Cheers for everything

.... I have now had the smoothstar for 3-4 week's and have found it to be outstanding for training and just straight up good old fashion fun. My surfing has improved with flow, thus creating power and speed. I am holding my line with strength all the way through cutties coming out with more momentum to spare than before. I have allso found that my skinny little chicken legs have more power and strength in them due to the workouts I am getting from using the smoothstar. It's what every surfer should be using, I once thought of my old skateboard as a training tool of sorts for my surfing I can now confidently say it was not! and have found the real deal in the smoothstar. Every person that has ridden my new board is just blown away, it's the only real way to pratice flow, hold, slides, strength and more. I can't believe I actually get buzz just looking at a perfectly smooth netball court. This board ROCKS! you're on a winner with the Smoothstar and thanks again.

.... She's not a bad work out I give you the tip ,even the mutt (Mad Max) is shedding a few kilo's , he has towing duties when I get a bit puffed . There's no doubt that it helps with my surfing , especially with pace off the mark and speed in general, everything else just flows on from there.  It's good to have the board there for those flat spells and ugly onshore days ( it almost makes you look forward to them ...nah...don't think so ) They haven't long completed a skate park in "the mighty Two Rocks" I can feel the car pulling towards it every time I drive past .
    Wish me luck....
    Cheers Dave

.... Hey ive been having an awesome time on my smoothstar! me and a mate went for a big long ride yesterday, its rad since you push into the turn to keep it going instead of pushing with ya foot. I can do continuous laps of the drive which is up and down hill, can't wait to take it to the skatepark for a go!!!
    Cheers heaps Esther
  • Mark from Adelaide.
.... heaps of my mates are praising it since they had a shot. i haven't been for a surf yet, but i'm pretty sure it has helped. it's one of the best things i've ever bought - i'm stoked with it.
    cheers mark.
  • Craig from Wellington New Zealand.
....The board arrived on Monday so I have been tearing up the driveway - it's great fun and a real good work out. I was absolutely stuffed after I finished practicing last night.
I injured my neck playing rugby about ten years ago and still have some partial paralysis of the right side which affects the strength in my back leg. This is one of the reasons that I wanted to try the board to regain some more strength in my back leg and to help my surfing and it looks like it will help a lot.
    Cheers, Craig.

.... I really enjoy the skate(-surf) boarding; and found out that its especially in the beginning hard work for your legmuscles!!!Also my muscles and ligaments (?) in my pelvis were feeling stretched out... good for my flexibility! Most important of course was the feeling .. especially a few days later i sometimes thought .. wow that was a good one (not a wave, but an ongoing session)
After a while i also learnt how to keep on going, and how to make a sort of frontside slides. Especially when the road is a little bit wet, it feels like you're making a sort of floater.
First time surfing after the skateboarding felt only a little bit different; i was more aware of my backfoot pressure on my board, and the turning once on top of a wave. Turning is about the whole body movement, sadly i can't make a good turn on every wave in perth, because of the many close-outs etc. BUT with the skateboarding i can practise as many as i want. I think the skateboard will help me keep the ... (in dutch; continue-iteit) of the movements, on times i can't surf. And, just the skateboarding is also a lot of fun!
Im glad i called you guys, and bought the skateboard, it was really worth it!!! Hopefully i can bring it back to Holland! For next week there will be not much of skateboarding: im going with a few friends from Margaret RIver (surfgoeroe) up north to The Bluff, close to Ningalo Reef i heard. There must be some amazing surf there(hopefully), thanks and speak to you again,
    regards GY

.... I just emailed you to say thank you so much! I have been riding it all weekend and me and my next door neighbour have been riding it all over finding hills and streets to ride it in. This afternoon I did a backhand reo on the board! I am so happy with it.
    Cheers and thanks a lot!
  • Ryan from Newcastle.
.... Definitely the most fun I've had on dry-land since I learnt to ride a bike! Not only is it great flat-time fun, but when I got back in the water it was easy to see subtle, if not large, improvements in my surfing. My mates are jealous!
    Thanks, Ryan.
